Gate Valve

Gate valves are designed with a flashboard opening and closing mechanism, with the motion direction perpendicular to the flow of the medium. These valves are primarily used to isolate or shut off the flow of media. When fully open, the flow passage is straight-through, minimizing pressure loss and allowing for efficient fluid movement.

Gate valves are classified by their sealing mechanism into various types, including wedge gate valves, plate gate valves, parallel 2-flashboard gate valves, and wedge 2-flashboard gate valves. These valves are typically employed in applications where they are either fully opened or fully closed, making them ideal for situations where frequent cycling is not required. They are not designed for throttling or flow regulation.
